Clothing
All informal clothing is welcomed such as T-shirts, shorts and swimsuits during the day and slightly more formal wear is required in the evening. A few hotels in Port Antonio and Montego Bay require men to wear a jacket and tie and women to wear dress clothes.

Safety in the sun
Protect your head form the sun with a wide brimmed hat or cap. A good pair of sunglasses is essential. In the evening wear a light cardigan or sweater, as this is when you are prone to insect bites. If you are thinking of going walking or hiking in the Blue Mountains, take along a good pair of walking shoes for the hilly areas.
