ADIRONDACK CAMPING VILLAGE

This family operated spot is secluded in the majestic Adirondack Mountains. Open May-October. Features include a dump station, individual fireplaces and pits, hot showers, laundry facilities, playgrounds and a swimming pool. There are 150 sites on the grounds and dogs are always welcome. This is one location where you won't want to be without your camera!
ADIRONDACK LOJ & WILDERNESS CAMPGROUND
Lake Placid, NY
Tucked into the middle of the Adirondack High Peaks, this nature lovers camping area is for the serious outdoorsmen. Canvas cabins are available for rent or pitch a tent at any of the 34 spread out sites. Hundreds of miles of marked wilderness trails, handicap facilities, boat rentals and a recreation building make this a pleasant combination of nature-at-its-best and comfort. This spot is dog friendly.
ALGER ISLAND STATE CAMPGROUND

Here's a water lover's dream come true: 17 sites on an island, accessible only by boat. Each camp area is made up of lean-to sites, and offers fireplaces, fishing on the water, tables and toilets. This is not for the weak at heart. Fishing is prime and there's nothing that even comes close to island living!

Nestled in 720 acres of mountains, fields, streams and a private lake, this site is remote, yet close enough to Lake George not to leave busy bodies banging their heads for things to do. Boat and cabin rentals are available, or pitch the tent on any one of 60 sites. Lake swimming, a children's playground and recreation building make this a fun, family campground. And you can also bring the dog!
FISH CREED POND STATE CAMPGROUND

This is a huge park with lots to see and do. 355 handicap accessible sites offer fire rings and pits, tables and electricity. Hot showers, flush toilets, boat rentals and lots of open ground keep this campground a popular return-to place for many nature buffs.

Here's a cozy spot for romantics or those looking to get out of the city for awhile. 25 sites hug the outskirts of the grounds and four rooms are rentable at the Inn. Open May-September. This is one for those who need some quiet time.

Macomb Reservation State Park is located in the Lake Champlain area. Also a part of the Thousand Islands State Park Region, you'll find an abundance of things to do here.
