Watermelon Juice
Cut wedges of watermelon (without the rind) into a colander seated over a bowl or pot. Using a potato masher, mash the watermelon until only pulp and seeds remain in the colander. Pour the juice into glasses of cracked ice, and garnish with mint sprigs.

Fruity Juice
Instead of ice cubes, put frozen pieces of fruit in glasses and fill with your favorite beverage. Iced tea, juice, and water are excellent selections. Use frozen strawberries, peaches, bananas, or grapes to add a delightful surprise.

Sun Tea
This summer drink is soooo easy to make and very tasty! Fill a wide-mouth, gallon jug with water. The jug must be clear glass. Add 6 regular tea bags (adjust next time for taste and strength). Screw the lid on tight with the tea bag strings hanging out. Set the jug out on a sunny porch or patio, and check it in 2 hours. If it doesn’t look dark enough, leave it out for another 2 hours, or until it is your preferred tea color. When done, remove tea bags and add sugar, artificial sweetener, or lemon to your tea. Keep it in your refrigerator.

There’s no secret to making this favorite health food store drink. A blender is needed to make smoothies. With a little imagination, ingredient variations could definitely add interest to the taste buds. Place 2-4 cups ice in a blender. Fill 3/4 full with your favorite juice. Add one 1/2 pint container of fruited yogurt. Add a frozen banana (broken in half), or any other frozen fruit. Blend away on high until ice and frozen fruit are pulverized. If it looks too liquidy, add more ice and blend some more. Serve in daiquiri glasses and garnish with a strawberry.
