1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 ounces chocolate chits
1 cup pecans, chopped fine

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Cream butter with egg yolk, vanilla, and sugar. Sift flour into bowl and add butter mixture, mixing well. Spread mixture on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. While hot, sprinkle with chocolate chips on top. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Spread chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with pecans. Cut into bars.
