Soap Bubble Recipe
Soap bubble recipe adds a twist on buying store bought bubbles -- make your own bubble solution and make your own wand.
Bubble making is better in cool wet weather. Early evening, nighttime, and early mornings are best. Just after a rain storm is perfect.
Make your wand: Bend a coat hanger into a loop so it looks like a giant bubble wand. You can also be creative and use thick picture wire to create a shape of your own.
Mix 1/2 cup of dish detergent with 5 cups water. Joy and Dawn work quite well. Measure carefully as this makes a big difference. Stir. Add two tablespoons glycerine if you have any (available at pharmacy). Glycerine tends to make the bubbles stronger. Pour solution into flat- bottomed frying pan which is free of any dirt.
Dip your wand into the solution and start waving it in the air. Bubbles!
Save old solution as it gets better as it ages.
