3 tablespoons flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon Accent
1 cup light cream
2 teaspoons minced chives
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 family sized loaf of fresh white bread, sliced
Clean the mushrooms and chop them fine. Saute the mushrooms in the butter for about 5 minutes. Blend in the flour, salt, and Accent. Stir in the cream.
Cook until thickened. Add the chives and lemon juice. Cool.
Remove crust from 1 family sized loaf of sliced fresh white bread. Roll slices thin. spread with mixture (after it has cooled) and roll up.
Cut each roll in bite sized pieces (about 1/2" - 3/4"). Put on cookie sheet and toast in oven on both sides in 400 degree oven. Watch carefully - they burn easily.
Serve immediately. They are DELICIOUS.
* These can be frozen very easily and used right from the freezer. It actually makes them easier to cut if they are frozen.
* If you would like to make these with lobster, add 1 large can of lobster meat minced thoroughly. Use two regular sized loaves of bread instead of one.
Enjoy!
