Never had fondue before? Here is a great recipe to try. Spice up the evening with your sweetie and try something different for a little change of pace. Have a relaxing evening at home by serving fondue with some wine, and a couple of candles in a dim lit room.

1 split clove
1 cup white wine or burgandy
1 lb shredded swiss cheese
2 tsp corn starch
1/8 tsp baking soda
dash nutmeg
1 tsp dry mustard
1 loaf french bread cut into cubes
Serves 4 to 6 people
serve warm (of course)

You can use something else besides french bread for dipping if you desire. Try some cooked vegetables, bread sticks, or even some fruit. If you really want to make it interesting and delicious, cook some tenderloin and cut it into cubes to use for dipping.

Rub cooking utensil with garlic, add wine and set over low heat until bubbles begin, do not boil. Toss cheese with corn starch. Add by handful to hot wine and then stir with wooden spoon until cheese is melted, then add other seasonings and salt to taste.
Makes a great snack.

Here is the children's version:

3 tbsp corn starch
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
