Chocolate Chip Scone Recipe
Try this tempting chocolate chip scone recipe!
Makes 8 wedges
3 oz. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 oz. white sugar
2 oz. butter
1/2 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips
1/2 oz. white sugar, to dust
Preheat oven to 350 F (180 C). Using a food processor, combine flour, sugar, and butter until a dough ball forms. Remove and roll into a circular shape about 1/4-inch thick. Cut to make 8 wedges. Crimp outside edges with fingertips.
Put wedges on a non-stick cookie sheet. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the wedges. Press in lightly with fingers. Bake for 8 minutes until starting to turn a pale golden brown. Remove from oven. Allow to stand for 2 minutes. Dust with white sugar and allow to cool completely on a wire rack. Serve cold with coffee or tea, with friends or family on any occasion, special or not.
