Vegetarian Stuffing Recipe
This vegetarian stuffing recipe was created long before Betty Crocker came out with their boxed chicken and stuffing. Made with vegetarian chicken in place of the traditional turkey.
1 box stuffing mix
1 can Worthington Fri-chick (save juice)
(found at most natural food stores)
8 oz low fat shredded cheese
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare stuffing according to directions on package. Pour stuffing into greased or sprayed oven-proof baking pan. Place Fri-chick randomly on top of stuffing and pour juice over just enough to moisten the top of the stuffing. Sprinkle cheese liberally, or as desired over the fri-chick and stuffing.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling. Yields about 4 servings.
Serve with vegetables or a salad.
